BACK STORY

Born and raised in Radz-at-Han, Banadiel was quickly known as the "problem child" in the city. She was taken prisoner and held in a facility inside the Praetorium, where the Garleans experimented on her with Allagan prosthetic technology, replacing her tail and..other parts. She was eventually saved by adventurers when the Praetorium fell. Banadiel eventually regained herself after the trauma, but the Garleans left a hunger in her that couldn't be satisfied by normal means.Banadiel fell heavily into prostitution to deal with her needy libido, eventually falling into a trap in Central Coerthas and sold as a slave. Her Ishgardian noble owner was murdered a few days after her purchase, and Banadiel was framed as the culprit. As she awaited execution, she was saved by the remnants of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Hired as a bodyguard, she escorted Alphinaud Leveilleur during the events of the Dragonsong War.Once freed from her duty, Banadiel ventured to the Far East to the Azim Steppes. She met her sister, who was living with the traveler. Banadiel was shocked to learn she had a niece. During this time the Domans were trying to establish alliances with the Xaela tribes, and Banadiel fell into helping the Scions of the Seventh Dawn once again.During the conflict at Doma Castle, she was unable to save her sister's mate from heavy gunfire. The wounds left him disabled, and though victory was assured, Banadiel's sister disowned her for failing to protect the man she loved. Many drinks and bad decisions later, Banadiel left the Steppes.The Raen wandered for a while, getting back at the Garleans however she could, whether it be in the battlefields at Bozja or in small skirmishes along the borders. She participated in the Eorzean's Alliance's attack on the Garlemald homeland, becoming embroiled in the ensuing events. She lost both parents in the Final Days at Thavnair, and her little brother is missing (presumed dead). Until she finds evidence of his death, however, she will continue to search with whatever means necessary.
